As reported in the press service of the Russian space agency, the separation of the satellite from the accelerating Briz-M block in a target supersynchronous transitional orbit happened to apogee of 65 thousand km at 6 hours 15 minutes Moscow time. In department specified that Inmarsat-5F3 – the third of three Inmarsat satellites of the fifth generation (I-5) developed and made by the American company Boeing. The first two satellites of the I-5 series are successfully started by the carrier rocket "Proton" in 2013 (Inmarsat 5F1) and in February, 2015 (Inmarsat 5F2).

according to mass media, Inmarsat satellites have to form a space communication system of Inmarsat Global Xpress which will possess a first-ever high-speed broadband network of a global covering in a geostationary orbit. The system will provide services of mobile satellite communication, including for broadband communication for deep-water sea vessels, in air for air passengers, and also for transfer of stream video of high resolution, data.
