In the Ice arena of St. Petersburg starts traditional New Year's Eve tournament on hockey - the Cup of the First channel, the correspondent of BELTA reports. The cup of the First channel is held annually in the second half of December since 1967. For the first time on this tournament which then still was called "Prize of News", the national team of Belarus was invited in 1993. In debut draw for themselves our hockey players drew with Canada and conceded to French, Russians and Swedes. 29 years later the Belarusian team returned on the Cup of the First channel and became his owner...
