Russia is one of leaders on number of anthems in the history of the country — together with their prototypes was around ten. Thus most "long-playing" traditionally replaced each other in December. Emergence of the first official anthem of the country is connected with a victory in war of 1812. The anthem of the ally, Great Britain, became object of special attention in Russia, and in 1814 Zhukovsky Vasilii created the text which later called "A prayer of Russians".
