On December 3 – Day of the unknown soldier

This day is urged to immortalize memory, military valor and an immortal feat of the Soviet and Russian soldiers who have died in operations, whose names remained unknown. Date was chosen not incidentally - on December 3, 1966 near Moscow ashes of the unknown soldier were transferred to commemoration of the 25th anniversary of defeat of the German armies from a mass grave of the Soviet soldiers and solemnly buried in Aleksandrovsk to a garden at walls of the Moscow Kremlin.
