"Revolution of roses" in Georgia in November, 2003

In the fall of 2003 within two days – on November 22-23 – in Georgia there was so-called "a revolution of roses". It was predetermined by many negative, both internal political, and economic, factors. In 1995 the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR Edouard Shevardnadze became the president of the country. In 2000 it re-elected for the second term. The economic situation of Georgia during the nineties steadily worsened.
