In the city on Neva opened the first Genofond biobank in the Northwest which will help families to give birth to the healthy child with reproductive pathologies. It is created on the basis of Institutes Ott's name. Unique storage today showed to leading experts in area of genetics, obstetrics and pediatrics from different regions. In a collection of biobank nearly 60 thousand samples of a biomaterial from eight thousand donors are already collected. In total cryochambers are calculated more than on 300 thousand copies.
