Penalties for leakages of personal data will grow to 10 times

To Russian Federation will toughen responsibility for illegal processing and leakage of personal information — the maximum penalties will increase to 1,5 million rubles. Such amendments were supported by Cabinet of Ministers. According to authors of an initiative, the measure will help to lower number of the facts of a compromise of personal data, including biometric. Only for the first six months 2023 more than 200 million records about Russians got to the Network, Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications follows from information.
