On October 31 under the chairmanship of chapter of Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergency Situations and the Relief of Natural Disasters Alexander Kurenkov took place meeting of the Governmental commission on the prevention and elimination of an emergency and to ensuring fire safety. Results of work on forest conservation from fires in the current year are sounded by representatives of Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources and Federal Agency of Forestry. The most part of fires managed to be liquidated in the first days after detection. The reasons of fires differ depending on a season. So, in the spring and in the fall their overwhelming quantity occurred because of the person, in the summer more than a half of all fires arose because of thunder-storms.
