The project of a first-ever vessel on liquid hydrogen passed certification

The Japanese registrar of navigation of ClassNK gave a basic consent to construction a first-ever vessel on liquid hydrogen which was designed by consortium of companies led by Mitsui (Conglomerate) & Co. Ltd. O. S. K Lines, Ltd. Participants of the project carried out earlier a preliminary assessment of risks operation of a vessel which for the first time in the history of branch will use as the main power plant a low-reverse two-stroke engine on liquid hydrogen.
