Russian geographical association (RGO) and Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation opened the new island and a new bay on the archipelago Severnaya Zemlya. About it journalists were reported by the director of RGO Artem Manukyan. As mass media knew, the island is found around a bay Hare, in Rykachev's glacier. Its length exceeds 1,1 kilometers, and width makes about 300 meters. In the territory of the island there live polar bears and walruses, and in coastal waters – seals.
