Bird flu reached Antarctic, having caused concern concerning the isolated populations of penguins and seals which never were affected by very dangerous virus H5N1 earlier. About it writes newspaper "The Guardian". Consequences of emergence of a virus are still unknown, but scientists express concern concerning possible "a catastrophic failure of reproduction" vulnerable populations of wild animals of the region.
