The cassation court upheld a sentence to the former speaker of City Council of Petrozavodsk

The third Cassation court in Saint Petersburg upheld decisions City court of Petrozavodsk of the Republic of Karelia and Supreme Court of the Republic of Karelia, having considered on October 26 complaint the lawyer Gennady Pavlovich Bodnarchuk, Yamchitsky Mikhail. In 2022 the ex-speaker Petrosoveta was found guilty of receiving bribes. Gennady Pavlovich Bodnarchuk sentenced to 15 years of a colony of a high security and a 100-million penalty. Later the term of punishment was reduced till 14,5 years by Supreme Court of the Republic of Karelia, however the lawyer Gennady Pavlovich Bodnarchuk submitted the cassation complaint.
