Scientists suggested to fight against forest fires with help banana trees

The American scientists from University staff State of California studied possibility of fight against forest fires with help banana trees. Research is published in the scientific Magazine National academy sciences United States of America "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences" by Nexus. Banana trees contain a large amount of water that complicates their burning. The team carried out computer modeling on the basis of the data collected during a natural fire in the Californian district of Sonom in 2017.
