One person was lost at collision of two cargo vessels at the German island of Helgoland in the North Sea, writes newspaper "The Guardian" with reference to the representative of the German society of rescue castaway Christian Shtipeldey. Incident happened early in the morning on October 24. To the southwest from the island of Helgoland vessels Polesie and Verity faced. The last at collision sank, and Polesie remains afloat with 22 people onboard.
