Voestalpine AG started construction the second arc furnace

The Austrian metallurgical Voestalpine AG began works on a platform in the territory of the head metallurgical complex of Linz where in 2024 construction the 1,6 million t new arc furnace (EDP) in a year will begin. In September the project of a similar orientation started at Donawitz combine where EDP on 850 thousand tons a year will be established. The equipment on both objects will be put by the Italian Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S. p. A. Input in a system of both EDP is planned for 2027.
