Analysis proteins indicated a sex of 12 people from an ancient necropolis
The group of scientists investigated remains from 12 burials of the IV-II centuries B.C., Italy. Scientists analysed proteins in tooth enamel and found out that bones of four people belonged to the men, eight more — women. The work they showed that biomolecular methods allow to define more precisely a sex of ancient people, than methods of physical anthropology and archeology.
