Archeologists from Germany found a grave of the franksky soldier who was buried together with the weapon and a board more than 1300 years ago. Among the weapon — spata, the long sword created on the basis of cavalry swords of the late Roman Empire. The victim, apparently, was the man aged from 30 till 40 years probably in the VII century, archeologists established. The soldier was buried with a short cutting sword "siks" with an iron blade and a bronze handle, a heavy iron knife and a spear from which only the iron edge remained.
