In interview of "Entertainment Weekly" the director "Akvamen and the lost kingdom" James Van told that William James Defo will not appear in the sequel of a long-awaited DC premiere. In a picture of 2018 the actor played Nuidis Vulko, the chief adviser of a throne of Atlantis and the secret mentor Akvamen. According to Van, the reason of absence of William James Defo in the future movie is partly connected with an operating schedule of the actor: "But it allowed me to expand Atlanna's role (the queen of Atlantis played Nicole Marie Kidman — a comment).
