JFE Steel stopped domain production at Keihin plant

The Japanese corporation JFE Steel stopped the last operating blast furnace on Keihin metallurgical complex at Kawasaki near Tokyo. The enterprise is a part of the metallurgical East Japan Works complex. Capacities of the furnace with a capacity of 4,9 thousand CBM made 4,5 million t a year. In recent years their loading did not exceed 60%. As a result, because of adverse conditions of the Japanese market of steel and the serious competition from cheap import the management, JFE Steel made the decision to stop domain production.
