Zambia returns to the Indian Vedanta control over the copper project

Government Republic of Zambia will return control over operations on the copper Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) project of the Indian corporation Vedanta Resources. In exchange that undertakes to pay debts of $250 million, to invest $1,2 billion in increase in volumes of productions of copper, to raise salaries workers for 20% and to spend $20 million in support of region communities where the field is located.
