Government Iceland decided to resume commercial whaling. New measures will allow to catch and kill polosatikov. According to the country authorities, the new regulations will allow to use the modern equipment and catching methods to reduce sufferings of mammals. In turn, ecoactivists called it a huge step back, writes newspaper "The Guardian". The ban of the ministry on catching of whales was accepted more than 30 years ago. Annually Iceland received a quota from the International commission on trade of whales. The last ban Ministry for agriculture Iceland was valid from 2019 and expired this year...
