Kenya provided a half of global input of power of geothermal thermal power plants

Kenya in 2022 provided a little more than a half of a global gain of power of geothermal thermal power plants (thermal power plant), follows from Global Energy Monitor data. If 163 megawatts (MWt) of geothermal thermal power plants were put into operation, separately into Kenya — 83 MWt worldwide. The gain of power was connected with completion of constructions of power plant the 83 MWt Olkaria VII which was realized in national park "Hell Gate", located to the northwest from the capital Kenya Nairobi.
