Scientists from New York university developed new molecules for fight against the viruses which action is based on a rupture of a cover of a pathogen. The research, allowing to solve a problem of fast accustoming of viruses to drugs, is published in the ACS Infectious Diseases magazine. Antiviral drugs and vaccines are usually aimed at various surface proteins of a virus which are responsible for its penetration into a cage. Blocking of their work leads to that the virus will not be able to infect the person, or will not breed. But viruses quickly mutate that leads them to change of structure...
