The 12th world champion, the deputy of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Anatoly Karpov in the comment for newspaper "Sport-express" reacted to the statement of Federation of chess Ukraine which recommended to the athletes to refrain from handshakes with representatives Russian Federation and Belarus on the World Cup and other international competitions. "Modern sports and the modern Olympic Movement were created by Coubertin who had the position on this occasion.
