India raised tax on online gembling to 28%

Council for tax on goods and services (GST) India made the decision to raise a 28% tax from rates in online games, casinos and jumps — earlier the rate taxes made 18%. The decision was declared by the minister of finance India Nirmala Sitkharaman during GST meeting. "The decision on introduction the maximum taxes was not directed on industry destruction — we consider that gamblings cannot be assessed with traditional rates taxes on an equal basis with goods prime necessity because of morals questions which arise concerning gambling branch" — Sitkharaman declared.
