In Slovakia swans cannot depart from farmer poppy fields because of drug intoxication

Farmers of the city Komarno in Slovakia suffer from invasion of swans which conceived a liking for poppy on their fields. Birds peck poppy boxes with grains and cannot depart as are in drug intoxication. The disaster for farmers lasts at least since the beginning of 2023, for the first time about invasion of birds reported in February. At first was considered that swans attract water puddles.
