Bones of a saber-toothed dolphin are found in New Zealand by experts from University Region of Otago

The unknown species of the died-out dolphins which existed 27-23 million years ago is open before. Experts from University Region of Otago found almost full skull of a being of Nihohae matakoi. The muzzle of Nihohae matakoi was extended and flat, cervical vertebras did not grow together. Thus in his jaw 21 teeth remained, were as much again pulled out, and in forward part of a mouth teeth is similar to tusks. Lack of wear of enamel let know that the sea predator had not to get to the core of firm materials and to look for production in a sandy substratum. Still teeth was quite thin that did them...
