Specialists of companies VIA Labs which is engaged in development USB4, SuperSpeed USB and USB Power controlers of Delivery, shared pleasant news — its production passed certification according to the USB-IF standard. It is a question of the firm VL108 USB PD 3.1 controler which meets now the requirements of the Power standard of Delivery 3.1. It will allow to increase the power of chargers for laptops from 100 W to 240 W, transmitting the electric power through USB to Type-C. Before 100 W sufficed to load small laptops, however, now when diagonals of screens increased, and laptops are completed...
