Research showed that a half of the largest world lakes dry up

More than 50 percent of the largest lakes in the world lose water. About it reports Colorado university in Bouldere. Authors used 250 000 pictures of the lakes made satellites during the period from 1992 to 2020, for inspection of 1972 largest lakes of Earth. They collected water level indicators from nine satellite altimeters and tried to use long-term supervision to reduce uncertainty.
