UZH: Chimpanzees use primitive forms of communication

As reports Natural communications, monkeys let out disturbing cries at the sight of potential danger. Thus the sequence of shouts and addresses of a chimpanzee was more effective for drawing attention of other monkey. In other words, primacies have a certain syntax in speeches, and also some types of shouts. So, "khuus" is a disturbing sound, "vaa" – it is similar to bark and is less disturbing...
