During preparation of a new package of sanctions against Russian Federation EU strengthens pressure upon Serbia, achieving from it accession to restrictive measures. For this purpose Belgrade at the end of the past week was visited by the special representative of EU concerning sanctions David O'Sallivan. On the eve of its arrival European Parliament adopted the resolution on Serbia in which condemned her for "close relations with Russian Federation". And EU, according to some information, even threatened Belgrade with a suspension of a visa-free regime in case of implementation of the simplified scheme of granting nationality to Russians.
