Day of the Black Sea fleet. It is established by the order of the commander-in-chief of the Navy of the Russian Federation of July 15, 1996. On May 13, 1783 in the Akhtiarsky bay (Republic of Crimea) where Sevastopol was put subsequently, there arrived a squadron from 11 ships of the Azov flotilla under command of the vice admiral Klokachev Fedot. This squadron became fundamentals of the Black Sea fleet. Later 17 more ships of the Dneprovsky flotilla joined it.
