Diet of Republic of Lithuania supported introduction of a contribution of solidarity for needs of defense for banks

The diet (parliament) Lithuania approved an initiative of the government to enter a solidarity contribution for commercial banks for needs of defense. The parliament of the republic made such decision taking into account essential – to 1 billion euro – growth of profit of the credit organizations. About it reports information agency "ITAR-TASS". "Such decisions are made not only Lithuania" — the minister of finance marked out Gintare Skayste. According to her, Lithuania in the matter is the fourth state EU which took such measures.
