On May 6, 2013 near Preobrazhenk's village Irkutsk Region there was a tragedy. Mi-8 RA-24410, loaded nearly two tons of explosive substances, blew up in air. The aircraft was sent for blasting ice on the river to the Lower Tunguska. Onboard there were nine people, including the acting the chief of regional GU Ministry of Emergency Situations Omelyanchik Stanislas and the deputy chief of the Baikal search and rescue group Stepanov Alexander.
