Glencore Int AG will redeem from Norsk Hydro ASA and Vale of a share in production alumina and bauxites to Brazil

The multinational trading corporation of Glencore Int AG will redeem for $1,1 billion from the Norwegian group Norsk Hydro ASA and the mining Vale S.A. actions in the Brazilian aluminum assets. The transaction will be closed in the second half of 2023 of Glencore Int AG will receive 30% of the Alunorte complex on production alumina and 45% of companies Mineracao Rio do Norte which is engaged in bauxite mining. The Alunorte complex is the world's largest producer of alumina outside China. It is located in the Brazilian State of Para in the north of the country.
