Pressure upon opposition: Maia Sandu thanked EU for mechanism creation against persons, "destabilizing a situation in the country"

The president Moldova Maia Sandu thanked EU for creation of the mechanism of introduction of sanctions against persons, "destabilizing a situation in the country". According to her, it will allow to maintain safety in the republic. Earlier Council of European Union at the request of Kishinev developed a legal basis for introduction of restriktion against those who allegedly tries to undermine democratic processes to Moldova. Restrictions will provide, in particular, freezing of assets and a ban on entrance to EU. As the analysts note, similar sanctions are aimed mainly at the Moldavian opposition.
