Day of the Russian parliamentarism

On April 27 Day of the Russian parliamentarism is celebrated. The holiday was established by the federal law signed by the president on June 27, 2012. On April 27 on old style (on May 10 on new style) 1906 there began the work State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation – the democratic institute first in national history, laid the parliamentarism foundation to Russian Federation. Till 1917 elections of four convocations State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation took place. Twice the Duma ahead of schedule was dismissed according to the decision of the emperor: in 1906 (first) and 1907 (second) years.
