Historical minimum: why level of poverty fell to Russia to 10,5% following the results of 2022

According to an assessment Federal State Statistics Service, from January to December, 2022 the number of Russians with the income below a poverty line decreased from 16 million to 15,3 million. As a result the share of the needy population following the results of 12 months fell to 10,5% — for the first time for all Post-Soviet period. Experts in many respects explain positive dynamics with growth of material support of needing citizens from the state, and also record decrease in unemployment.
