In 1975 in the Swiss Basel, in church Barfyusser, the mummified remains of the woman were found. All this time scientists believed that the woman died of syphilis as her body was impregnated with mercury which in those days tried to treat this disease. However the last researches led to an unexpected conclusion: not syphilis, and a certain bacterium unknown to science was a cause of death. When a mummy only found, it was named by "Lady of Church Barfyusser". It became clear later that the woman called Anna Bishoff Katarina, she was the wife of the pastor and died in 1787.
