Researchers from Oxford university found out that the European hedgehogs are capable to live much more long, than was considered. During the Hedgehog project ("Hedgehog") they found an animal who at the time of death was 16 years old. The hedgehog could live more long if did not fall from teeth of a dog, reports newspaper "The Guardian". In many countries Europe the number of hedgehogs is reduced – the reason habitat destruction, agriculture, road accidents.
