This first proof of that practiced trepanation in the early Middle Ages. Archeologists investigated remains of the medieval woman living more than 1300 in the Langobardsky kingdom. Scientists found traces of at least two operations on her skull. Skull of the unfortunate woman found on Kastel-Trozino's cemetery, near Ascoli Piceno to central Italy. Macroscopic, microscopic analyses and KT revealed signs of operations shortly before death of a langobardka. It was necessary to the patient of medieval doctors hardly — surgical treatment consisted of "a series consecutive drillings"...
