The constant representative Russian Federation at Specialized establishment United Nations concerning education, sciences and cultures Alexander Kuznetsov recognized that the organization has no legal mechanisms to interfere with vandalism and demolition of the Soviet monuments in Ukraine and in Baltics. He told about it in interview of Federal state unitary enterprise RAMI "RIA Novosti". "Unfortunately, within Specialized establishment United Nations concerning education, sciences and cultures there are no legal mechanisms to prevent vandalism which is brought to the level of the state ideology. Under direct protection of Specialized establishment United Nations concerning education, sciences and cultures there are only the objects entering the list of the World heritage" — he noted.
