The municipal duma Tomsk approved cancellation of direct elections of the mayor

The City Thought Tomsk adopted to the charter amendments about cancellation of direct elections of the mayor. 25 deputies voted for amending, against – four. Three people refrained. The deputy from Russian United Democratic Party "Yabloko" Vasilii Yeremin told that at amendment coordination unresolved there was a question of by what number of deputies the mayor has to be chosen. As a result the thought decided to elect the mayor by two thirds of voices. Earlier relevant decision was made by deputies of the Legislative thought of the region.
