Taiwan chose China

Elections in local authorities cardinally changed a political situation on Taiwan. After a crushing defeat of the ruling Democratic progressive party Taiwan, relied on alliance from United States of America, the local authorities passed to opposition Chinese National party (Kuomintang), supporting rapprochement with continental China. The president Taiwan Tsay Inven at which escalation with Beijing reached peak, already left a post of the head of ruling party, having assumed responsibility for DPP loss.
