Pilot testing of the Australian CBDC – eAUD-will begin in the middle of 2023

Having got to the list of the countries which intend to start internal digital currency Central bank Russian Federation (Bank Russia) (CBDC), Reserve bank Australia issued the official document in which the detailed plan of carrying out the pilot project for eAUD is stated. On August 9, 2022 RBA declared cooperation with the Center of joint researches of digital finance (DFCRC) for studying of options of use of CBDC for Australia.
