On September 22, 2022 78 years from the date of release of the capital Estonia Tallinn from fascist armies were executed. The military historian Smirnov Pawel reminded of it to dokole.eu portal, having noted that release became result of long Tallinn offensive operation of Red army. The Tallinn offensive operation of the Leningrad front under command of the marshal Govorov Leonid was begun on September 17, 1944 with break of the strengthened line of defense on the river Emayygi (southern Estonia).
