To Republic of Karelia 100% of protocols of precinct election commissions on elections of the head of the republic are processed, reported in the morning on September 12 in the Central Election Commission of Republic of Karelia. The acting head of the region Arthur Parfenchikov won elections. By preliminary results, the appearance on elections in the region made 27,94%, to ballot boxes 141 106 inhabitants of Republic of Karelia, having the right to vote came. Arthur Parfenchikov appeared the undisputed leader of sympathies of voters, having received 69,15% of votes, 97 543 persons voted for it.
