Annually every second Saturday of August to Russian Federation the main sports festival of the country — Day of the athlete is celebrated. In 2022 it will take place on August 13. This day in all regions of the country will pass various sports sporting events, sports competitions, tournaments, festivals, inhabitants are waited by a highly topical program with participation of stars of the sports, directed on promoting of a sports way of life and involvement of Russians in regular occupations by physical culture and sport.
