Hong Kong returned itself the first place in the list of the most expensive cities for accommodation of foreigners — it is published annually by the consulting Mercer Ltd. The city headed a rating for three years in a row, however in the 2021st on the first line the capital Turkmenistan — Ashgabat settled down. Among factors which were considered by authors of the list — the housing cost, transports, food, clothes, entertainments and services. Besides, they considered rate fluctuations of national currencies. The standard of living was taken as a basis in New York.
