15 years ago, on July 3, 2007, in the territory of the last boundary of defense of the city — the 35th coastal battery the mortgage stone which has marked the beginning of works on creation of a museum complex in memory of those defenders Sevastopol which in number of about 80 thousand people remained here, on Hersonessk semi-sharp, under rocks and in a coastal zone to the cape Fiolent was established. All of them either were lost, or were taken prisoner. And 10 years ago, on May 5, 2012, solemn completion of works on creation of the museum complex "35th coastal battery" took place.
